Fellowship Bible Church Tulsa
Meeting the immediate need - Christ for Humanity provides emergency groceries to Tulsa's hungry families and individuals. People who have run out of food in their home can come and partake from our storehouse. In addition, clothing, household goods, furniture, medical supplies and medical devices are available at no cost to the one receiving it. Most importantly, there is an opportunity to share God's plan to the lost, or to share encouragement to the believer.
First Steps - As people come to know the Lord, they are in need of further education and genuine discipleship. First steps is an opportunity for new believers and seasoned mentors to come together and explore the wonderful truth of God's word. Through this program, many people have grown from brand new creatures in Christ into servants in the Lord's kingdom. Powerful addictions are overcome, strongholds are broken. God has blessed us with mentors that have a heart for God, and the ability to communicate well with those at all stages of their belief.
Adopt-a-Facility. Since 1995, Christ for Humanity has been providing on-site ministry to the needy who are living at the low income apartments managed by the Tulsa Housing Authority, and others. Monthly, food boxes along with a gospel message, prayer, and encouragement, are provided to individuals by local churches whose members have "adopted" the facility as their own mission. As an Adopt-a-Facility partner, Christians from the "adopting" church go to the facility they have adopted, thus bringing the gospel to them - where they live. The folks we work with there are physically disabled, or have other challenges that cause them to be somewhat home bound. An event like this at their apartment building is a real blessing.
