Our Mission Field

At Christ for Humanity, we believe God has revealed in scripture five groups of people we are to care for as followers of Christ. Each of these groups come with different physical needs but the same spiritual need. Their vulnerability reminds us that everyone is dependent on Christ.

  • Dependents for Direction

We are to consider those of all cultures and ethnicities who are separated from their homes, serving them as we would our own families, and understanding that we were once strangers to God.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me”

    Matthew 25:35

  • Dependents for Defense

We are to protect and care for the most vulnerable among us, recognizing that we are dependent on God to be our strength and protection.

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the orphan, plead the widow’s cause.”

    Isaiah 1:17

  • Dependents from Disability

We are to care for and accommodate those who are physically disabled, with the knowledge that before Christ we were dead in our sins and trespasses. We serve a God who gives sight to the blind and empowers the lame to walk.

“But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

    Luke 14:13-14

  • Dependents from Destitution

We are to provide for and encourage those among us who are struggling financially, with recognition that every good and perfect gift comes from God and in Him we have all that we need.

“For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.”

    Deuteronomy 15:11

  • Dependents from Detention

We are to minister to and encourage those who are imprisoned and consider that we were once slaves to sin but God has set us free.

“Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body”

    Hebrews 13:3

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.

Matthew 25:35-36
